Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2025

At Straltitude.com, your privacy is taken seriously. This website is operated by me, Alexandre Poncet, and this policy explains what data (if any) is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at alex@straltitude.com.

TL;DR

  • No cookies.
  • No Google Analytics.
  • No IP tracking.
  • I use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-first alternative.
  • I use MailPoet for newsletters – they are GDPR compliant.
  • I collect only your email address when you subscribe.
  • I don’t track your location.
  • I don’t sell, rent, or share your email with anyone — not even sponsors.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time, and your email will be permanently deleted from my list.

1. Website Analytics

I use Fathom Analytics to understand how the site is used — how many people visit, which pages are most popular, and so on. Fathom does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It is fully compliant with GDPR, ePrivacy, PECR, CCPA, and more. No personal identifiers like IP addresses are stored.

2. Cookies

This website does not use cookies. You won’t see a cookie banner, because none are needed.

3. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, I will collect and store only your email address. No name, no IP, no location.
The newsletter is sent using MailPoet, which runs directly inside this website’s WordPress installation. This means your email is stored on the website itself, not on an external email platform.

The website is hosted by Hostinger, on servers located in Germany.

MailPoet tracks basic engagement (open rates and click rates) to help me improve content — but again, no cookies, no IP logging, no geolocation.

4. Data Access and Deletion

If you ever want to:

  • Know what data I have about you (which is likely just your email),
  • Or request deletion manually,

Email me at alex@straltitude.com and I’ll handle it promptly.

5. Legal Basis

Under the GDPR, I rely on consent as the legal basis for processing your email address. By subscribing, you consent to receive the newsletter and to the handling of your email as described above.

6. Changes

If this policy ever changes in a material way (e.g., I start using cookies or change how your email is handled), I’ll update this page and mention it in the newsletter.
